HEAP
Human exposome assessment platform
Description
The HEAP project will provide an informatics platform for handling and analysing large amounts of data on environmental exposures and their health effects. The platform will be populated with data from large-population-based cohorts, analysed with high-throughput technologies such as analysis of microbes with metagenomics and analysis of the effects of the environment on the genome (epigenomics). The HEAP platform will also analyse data from large and population-based cohorts on the health effects of purchased products using consumer receipts, and data from volunteer cohorts that carry sensors for continuous monitoring of environmental exposures.
