Leidsche Rijn Health Project

Description

The Leidsche Rijn Health Project is an ongoing study of the health and health trends of residents in the Leidsche Rijn neighborhood in Utrecht. The five primary care practices of the Leidsche Rijn Julius Health Centers are participating in this project. Through early 2021, every patient registered at one of the five primary care practices was invited to participate in the LRGP. Informed consent was obtained from participants upon enrollment. Participants were asked to complete questionnaires (general characteristics, lifestyle, female reproductive health questionnaire, medical history, medication use, quality of life, stress, etc.); blood samples were collected; height, weight, and blood pressure were measured; and, in certain cases, an ECG and/or spirometry were performed. Enrollment was completed in early 2021. Follow-up data is still being collected through a continuous link to the data recorded by the primary care physician in the medical record.
