HELIX

Human Early Life Exposome study

Description

https://athleteproject.eu/helix-cohort/ The HELIX cohort represents a collaborative study across six established and ongoing longitudinal population-based birth cohort studies in six European countries (France, Greece, Lithuania, Norway, Spain, and the United Kingdom). HELIX collected data from 1,663 mother-child pairs recruited during pregnancy. Data was retroactively collected and harmonized for the pregnancy period, and biomarkers, omics signatures and child health outcomes were measured at ages 6-11 years. A second follow-up visit was conducted at ages 12-18 years with 864 adolescents participating where biomarkers, omics signatures and health outcomes were again collected.
