MELCAYA
MELCAYAMELCAYA aims to improve the prevention, diagnosis and prognosis of melanoma in children, adolescents and young adults, an understudied population lacking tailored clinical guidelines. The project combines European cohorts, registries and multi-omics to identify genetic and environmental risk factors and develop a new melanoma taxonomy. It also develops trustworthy AI, a European second-opinion platform and minimally invasive blood, breath and skin-based tools for earlier detection, while involving patients and informing public health strategies.
